The second Coffee Morning in the Wilanow Cultural Centre

Here we go again with the second International Friends of Warsaw Coffee Morning this year. On this lovely sunny day 🌞 we met in the artistic 🎨🎭 interior of the Galeria Taras Sztuki in the Wilanow Cultural Centre in Warsaw. 😁

This time Flavia Gajek and Justyna Szachowicz-Sempruch addressed the questions of giving and supporting others 🤝, the exchange nature of helping others, the real essence of the exchange and the risks of misunderstanding the idea of charity. Our special guest 🧡 was Aleksandra Rokicka - charity volunteer, former Teens Matter coordinator and Program participant, who gave us an insight into the perspective of teens from orphanages and the reasons for the problems they encounter in the process of socialization on their way to adulthood.

Flavia Gajek also presented to us the idea of the Warm Love Project, which combines learning how to knit caps👒, scarves 🧣and other things 🧦 on a loom 🧶with supporting kids from poor backgrounds all around the world.🌎 Lately the ladies participating in the Warm Love Project sent their caps to children in Afghanistan. During the meeting you also could purchase one of their works and support the charity cause. 💝

To już drugi Coffee Morning z International Friends of Warsaw w tym roku. W ten piękny, słoneczny dzień🌞 spotkaliśmy się w artystycznym wnętrzu 🎨🎭 Galerii Taras Sztuki w Centrum Kultury Wilanów. 😁

Tym razem Flavia Gajek i Justyna Szachowicz-Sempruch poruszyły kwestie wspierania innych,🤝 naturalnych procesów z tym związanych, a także zwróciły uwagę na ryzyko niezrozumienia idei dobroczynności. Gościem specjalnym🧡była Aleksandra Rokicka - wolontariuszka, była koordynatorka i uczestniczka Programu Teens Matter, która przybliżyła nam punkt widzenia nastolatków z domów dziecka i problemy, z jakimi borykają się w drodze do dorosłości.

Flavia Gajek przedstawiła nam również ideę Projektu Warm Love, który łączy naukę dziergania czapek👒, szalików🧣 i innych akcesoriów🧦 z wykorzystaniem specjalnej obręczy 🧶ze wsparciem dzieci z biednych środowisk na całym świecie.🌎Ostatnio uczestniczki Warm Love Project wysłały swoje czapki dzieciom w Afganistanie. Podczas spotkania można było również zakupić jedną z ich prac. 💝
